Alex Jalil is the Assistant Research Manager for the Western Europe desk at ACLED. He joined the organisation in 2020 as a researcher on the Yemen desk before moving to the Western Europe desk in 2023, where he later became a Senior Research Assistant.
Alex has over seven years of experience contributing to geopolitical and economic analysis focused on the Gulf and Europe. He holds an MA in International Relations and has professional experience in political violence research, conflict monitoring, and regional security analysis across Europe and the Middle East.
