Rafaela Sinderski

South America Researcher

Rafaela Sinderski has been a researcher on the South America desk at ACLED since 2025, focusing on Brazil’s North and South regions. She holds a PhD in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Political Communication from the Federal University of Paraná (Brazil). In 2023, she was a visiting researcher at Tulane University and completed training in data journalism through Columbia University’s Lede Program. Her academic work focuses on political violence, democratic backsliding, political antagonism, and their implications for democratic institutions and public debate.
