Sasha Slobodov

Sasha is a Russia and Belarus Researcher at ACLED. She has experience in journalism and research focused on conflict, security, and culture across the South Caucasus, Central Asia, and Russia. Her reporting has appeared in Meduza, The Insider, OC Media, and Global Voices. She previously worked as a News Editor at Meduza and an International Fellow at the Caucasus Research Resource Center. Sasha holds an MA in European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies from the University of Toronto and a BA in International Relations from the University of British Columbia.
