Key figures on attacks by and against Israel since 7 October 2023
Since Hamas’ assault on southern Israel on 7 October 2023, Israeli territory and interests have been targeted from multiple fronts. This includes at least 2,597 incidents of missile, rocket, and drone attacks by Gaza-based Hamas and allies, Lebanon’s Hezbollah, and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) (see graph below). In these incidents, projectiles have either resulted in a hit or landed in open fields in Israel, the occupied Golan Heights, and the disputed territories of Shebaa Farms and Kafr Shuba Hills. Additionally, thousands of projectiles have been intercepted by Israel’s air defense systems in over 800 interception events.
In turn, the Israeli security forces have conducted 22,320 attacks across Gaza and Lebanon, as well as in Syria.
