Federal forces and their allies were closing in on Zalambessa near the Eritrean border on Wednesday

 The pro-government Tigray Peace Force claims that Eritrean troops in Tigray have taken heavy losses and are pulling back towards the border and that the TPLF can no longer hold ground. Ethiopia and Eritrea each tell the UN Security Council that the other started the war.

The ENDF gains control of Rama

The ENDF took control of the town of Rama, located seven kilometers from the Mereb River along the border between Ethiopia and Eritrea.

The ENDF deploys heavy weaponry in the direction of Fatsi-Zalambessa

Throughout the night of 12 October and continuing into 13 October, eyewitnesses observed a substantial convoy of tanks and heavy weaponry advancing from Adigrat toward Fatsi and Zalambessa.

Government forces gain control of Aksum

ENDF and TPF forces entered Aksum, while TDF militants are currently in the mountainous rural areas of Adet and Chila, near Aksum.

Former Tigray regional government officials return to Mekele

Former officials of the interim Tigray regional government returned to Mekele after being rescued by the ENDF. They had been forcefully taken by the TDF on 2 October during the group's withdrawal from the city.

Government forces capture the Feres-May woreda

ENDF and TPF forces captured the Feres-May woreda in Central Tigray zone after capturing the areas of Hawzen and Nebelet a few days ago.

Government forces gain control of Fatsi and Zalambessa

The ENDF and TPF took control of Fatsi and Zalambessa. The TDF troops previously stationed in these areas had moved toward Debre Damo, southwest of Zalambessa, and Irob, east of Zalambessa.

Eritrean forces withdraw via Zalambessa

The Eritrean army, which had been stationed along the Zalambessa-Fatsi line, withdrew from Tigray and crossed back into Eritrea via Zalambessa. 

Government forces encircle Sheraro while Eritrean forces withdraw

After the ENDF and TPF took control of the areas of Adi Daero, Adi Nbried, Adi Hageray, and Adi Awala along the route from Shire toward Sheraro, the Eritrean forces and TDF left Sheraro. At the time of writing, no one controls Sheraro.
