Ethiopia’s security landscape is primarily driven by armed clashes between security forces and Fano militias in the Amhara region, alongside an ongoing rebellion by the Oromo Liberation Army in Oromia. The highly unstable peace process in Tigray, escalating tension between the Tigray People’s Liberation Forces and the federal government, and mounting geopolitical tensions with neighboring Eritrea and Sudan further aggravate internal volatility.
