About Dr. Trey Billing
Dr. Trey Billing is a Data Scientist with ACLED. He leads the technical development of several data science initiatives, including ACLED’s early warning and forecasting tools.
Trey’s areas of expertise include computational social science, machine learning, and the dynamics of political conflict. His research on these topics appears in outlets including Food Security, the Journal of Conflict Resolution, and Political Research Quarterly, among others.
Prior to joining ACLED, Trey received a PhD in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Mershon Center for International Security Studies at The Ohio State University.
