ACLED Conflict Index & 2026 Watchlist Virtual Launch

In 2025, high levels of conflict became the new normal. What does this mean for the conflict landscape in 2026?

ACLED’s upcoming Conflict Index offers a data-driven analysis of 2025’s violence across every country and territory in the world. Using four key indicators — deadliness, danger to civilians, geographic diffusion, and the number of active armed groups — the Index provides a snapshot of global conflict trends. The 2026 Watchlist then turns to the year ahead, highlighting 10 crisis areas where conditions are likely to shift, for better or for worse. 

Join us for the virtual launch of both the ACLED Conflict Index and Watchlist on Thursday, 11 December at 14:00 GMT | 9:00 EST.
