The Libya Security Monitor

The Libya Security Monitor (LSM) is the flagship project of Eye on ISIS, a US-based nonprofit organisation which is the sister organisation of Libya-Analysis LLC. The LSM is a repository of non-partisan, cross-checked information on security developments in Libya with a searchable archive covering the most significant security incidents since June 2014. It monitors and maps security incidents in Libya on a weekly basis and has several publications on armed groups and jihadist groups in Libya. The LSM aims to provide quality, cross-checked information on the security situation in the country to inform programming, policy making and reporting on Libya, as well as being a useful public resource for anyone interested in the country. The LSM tracks the activities of Libya’s armed groups and political actors, the Islamic State’s offshoot in Libya as well as the other Libyan jihadi movements.
