Mahmoud Saleh

East Asia Pacific Assistant Research Manager

Mahmoud Saleh is our Assistant Research Manager for the East Asia Pacific desk. His role is to assist in the desk management and producing data and analyses related to political violence events in East Asian countries, including the Philippines, Indonesia, and Taiwan. He joined ACLED in March 2021 as a researcher for the Middle East desk. He also covered several countries in the Middle East, Africa, Western Europe, and the Gulf. Besides ACLED, Mahmoud worked in the development sector on projects in Tunisia and the UAE. Mahmoud holds an M.A. in International Security from Sciences Po Paris and a BSc dual degree in political science from Cairo University and Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.
