Dallaire Institute

Founded by General Roméo Dallaire in 2007, the Dallaire Institute for Children Peace and Security is a global leader in promoting a children, peace and security agenda. Our mission is to progressively end the recruitment and use of child soldiers through world class, interdisciplinary and applied research oriented to building new solutions; through high-level advocacy to create and promote the political will to end the use of children in violence; and through capacity building programming focused on prevention-oriented training for security sector actors. Since 2007, we have trained over 15,000 military forces, police and other security sector actors from 100 countries to protect children and prevent the recruitment and use of children in violence
