Data update: Enhanced source coverage in ACLED's Cameroon dataset

ACLED incorporated reports from ARDHU, improving coverage of Cameroon’s Far North region

On 30 March 2026, ACLED published data improving coverage for the Far North region of Cameroon, incorporating information from monthly reports published by ARDHU (Action Pour le Respect des Droits de l'Homme et la Dignité Humaine). This update covers events from December 2024 through September 2025.

New events and corrections: 470 new events; 76 updates to existing events

Fatalities added: 324 

Analytical note: Data from ARDHU accounts for approximately 18% of ACLED events in Cameroon for the period of coverage of this update. Data from ARDHU reports are unavailable for April and August 2025, and no ARDHU reports are currently available from October 2025 onward. Users conducting analysis of the Far North region across these periods should take these gaps into account.
