Data update: Expanded coverage from partner data in Pará, Brazil
Enhanced coverage in Pará from January 2026 onwards
Beginning on 1 January 2026, ACLED enhanced its coverage for the state of Pará, Brazil through the inclusion of partner data from Fogo Cruzado. This expansion adds approximately one to two unique events per week.
Analytical note: Data from this source for the state of Pará is available from January 2026 onward and is not backcoded for earlier periods. As a result, observed increases in event counts from this date reflect a methodological update and should be considered when analysing temporal trends.
