Data update: Integration of new partner data from Clingendael-NPC Consortium in ACLED’s Ghana dataset
Improved coverage for Ghana from April 2024 to present
On 12 May 2026, new partner data from Clingendael-NPC Consortium were published to improve coverage of Ghana. This update covers events from 1 April 2024 to present, and data from this source are incorporated into ACLED’s real-time coverage of Ghana on a rolling delay of approximately two weeks.
Analytical note: Data from Clingendael-NPC Consortium account for approximately 25% of unique events recorded in Ghana for the period of coverage. Data from this source are not incorporated into the data set prior to April 2024. Users conducting analysis across this period should account for a structural increase in event and fatality counts resulting from the addition of this source.
