Situation Summary
In the Donetsk region, Russian forces reportedly continued to advance west of Bakhmut, west of Avdiivka, and south of Marinka. In the Zaporizhia region, significant positional fighting took place near Robotyne, while in the Kherson region, clashes were reported near Krynky on the southern bank of the Dnipro. In the Kharkiv region, Russian forces continued heavy shelling of the Kupiansk area.
On 23 March, Ukrainian missiles and drones struck Sevastopol in Crimea, damaging four Russian warships and a communication center of the Black Sea Fleet. The debris from one of the intercepted missiles hit a residential building, reportedly killing one civilian and wounding four others.
Russian shelling, missiles, and airstrikes killed at least 13 civilians in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions. On 25 March, Russian missile strikes damaged residential areas and an art college and wounded at least 10 civilians in the city of Kyiv. On the same day, a Russian missile strike injured 10 civilians in Odesa. On 27 March, Russian forces struck Kharkiv with a guided aerial bomb, hitting residential buildings, and civilian and administrative infrastructure, killing one civilian and wounding 19 others. On 29 March, the debris from two intercepted Russian missiles fell in Odesa and injured five people, including three children.
