Dr. Adriana Boersner Herrera is the Venezuela Senior Researcher at ACLED and has been in the organization since September 2018. She was originally hired as the coder for Venezuela within the Latin American desk. She is responsible for research on Venezuela. Dr. Boersner Herrera holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Missouri, an MA in Political Science from Universidad Simon Bolivar, and a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Universidad Central de Venezuela. Adriana is also an Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina Aiken with 10 years of experience working in academia and research regarding Venezuela.
