Bianca Ceccon is the Southern & Eastern Africa Research Manager and has been with the organization since April 2022. In her role, she leads the Southern & Eastern Africa research team, overseeing data collection, review, and quality assurance. Before joining ACLED, Bianca worked with humanitarian and research organizations in Brazil, Sierra Leone, and Cameroon. Her research interests include sexual violence in conflict and transitional justice in conflict-affected countries. Bianca holds an MSc in International Politics and Conflict Studies from the University of Brasília and a BA in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.
