José Salguero is a Central America Researcher at ACLED and a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at the University of Marburg. He holds an MSc in Security and Development (University of Bristol, England), an MSc in Development Economics (University of Goettingen, Germany), and a BA in Economics (UCA University, El Salvador). His research interests include security policy analysis, the political economy of violence and conflict, as well as crime statistics. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and German, and has intermediary knowledge of French.
