Kelly Carrero is a researcher for the South America desk at ACLED and has been with the organization since August 2023. In this role, Kelly is responsible for covering political violence events and major developments in Colombia, while also supporting the coding process for other countries in the region. Kelly holds a B.A. in International Relations from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, and her research interests include political violence, conflict resolution, and peacebuilding processes.
