Salazar is a Central America Researcher at ACLED. He has a Master's degree in Political Studies from the University of the Witwatersrand and is a Ph.D. candidate in Social Anthropology at the Museu Nacional - Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. He has experience in the fields of peacebuilding, mediation of armed conflicts, and reconciliation. His current research interests focus on the moral economy of violence.
