About Charles Vannice

Charles Vannice is ACLED’s Training Coordinator. In this capacity, he is responsible for coordinating the methodological training for all new and current researchers, ACLED’s external partners, and the production of learning materials.

In his over a decade of work with ACLED, Charles has worked as both a Researcher and Regional Manager at the Africa Desk, as well as helping launch the pilot expansion of the North America Region.

Charles holds a BS in Political Science from the University of Central Missouri and a BS in Secondary Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. His interests include insurgency and politically driven conflict with a focus on East Africa and Nigeria. Charles’ past research includes work with the Institute for Policy and Social Research at the University of Kansas, where his focus was on the Indian sub-continent and Afghanistan.
