February 7, 2024 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
For the virtual launch of this new metric, we heard from ACLED President & CEO Clionadh Raleigh and WorldPop Director Andrew Tatem about the joining of these two datasets. We were also joined by ACLED Head of Data Science Katayoun Kishi, ACLED Advisory Board Member Andrew Linke, as well as representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), and Save the Children to discuss this new metric’s uses in policymaking, humanitarian responses, and assessing human-centered risks.
