Tom Hart is ACLED’s Head of Global Data Collection. Tom oversees the regional desk teams at ACLED, which are responsible for the collection and production of our weekly data releases. He is also responsible for the management of supplemental data projects and research partnerships.
Tom has worked with ACLED since 2016, starting out as a Researcher for South Asia, before shifting to the Middle East desk as Research Manager. Since then he has held a number of other roles, including leading on the creation and development of the Methodology team, and the expansion of data coverage to the North America, and Oceania regions.
Tom holds a BA in History and Political Science from Carleton University, with a focus on geopolitics and colonial relationships. His other specialties include quality assurance, project management, and team coordination.
