Dr. Dan Watson is a postdoctoral research fellow with the University of Sussex and Senior Researcher at ACLED. At the University of Sussex, he works on the VERSUS project, focusing military politics and elite dynamics in South Sudan and Ethiopia, and is responsible for research on Sudan, South Sudan and Uganda for ACLED. His main interests include post-conflict statebuilding; militarism; and the political economy of conflict.
