Yohaire Zumbado-Madrigal is the Central America Assistant Research Manager at ACLED and has been with the organization since June 2021. She was originally hired as Caribbean researcher. She currently assists in the management of the Central American desk, supporting the review of data quality, and assisting in data analysis. Yohaire holds a MA in Social Sciences Applied to the Environment from Pablo de Olavide University, and a B.A. in International Relations, with a Specialization in Diplomacy, and Foreign Policy, from the National University of Costa Rica. Her research interests include electoral violence, human rights, and socio-ecological conflicts. Yohaire has seven years of experience in research, M&E, and electoral observation. She is fluent in Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese.
