Sam Jones was the Head of Communications at ACLED, leading the organization’s strategic communications, public outreach, and user engagement from October 2018 to January 2024. He earned his BA in Government & Philosophy from Franklin & Marshall College and his MA in Ethics, Peace & Human Rights from American University’s School of International Service. Sam’s research centers on political violence and protest movements, and he previously worked to document human rights violations in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
